Room 412; Early Wednesday Morning.
Instinctually waking up early, because it was Wednesday, which meant a morning class and the desire to have a bit of time before hand for a quick morning excersize, Setsuna was a little surprised at first to find someone cuddled up next to her. A slow smile soon replaced her surprise as she remembered Ranma slipping in last night. She cuddled into him, deciding that perhaps she could skip excersize this morning.

...But Setsuna became away that the mass she was nuzzling into was not nearly as broad as Ranma chest should be and the arms around her waist were significantly thinner, delicate, more girl like than even Ranma's girl form, and Setsuna slowly came to the odd realization that this was not Ranma. At all. She opened her eyes.

And blinked. A lot.

What...the hell was Ami-chan doing in her bed?

She wondered if she should wake her. Or just wait until she woke up...she did look...rather peaceful, just sleeping there, and Setsuna almost fell into the trap of staying there in her admiration, but fiercely shook her head. There...had to be a logical explanation to this, right? One that didn't involve the possibility that Setsuna was failing to remember something she would have really liked to remember...

"A...A...Ami-chan?" she whispered, very, very quietly, as if not really indending for Ami to hear it.

Ami was warm, safe, comfortable and asleep. however, time had passed and the medicine had run its course, so she was sleeping fairly lightly.

She heard a voice calling her name. without even opening her eyes she mumbled confusedly //"Secchan, why are you in my bed?"//

Setsuna did not know what the hell happened last night, but she was pretty sure it didn't give Ami the right to call her that. Especially not that because, in that moment, there was a sharp realization in her head that if she was waking up with any girl like this, it should be Kono-chan, who Ami, although similarly cute and she still had the bangs and, really, was the closest thing to Konoka around this place, was not.

At all.

Setsuna couldn't easily get out of the bed at this point; Ami was on the side open to the world. So she just layed there, staring at Ami. //"This isn't your bed, Ami,"// she said, tersly. //"It's mine, so a better question would be why you are here?"// And not Konoka-Ojou-sama, because Konoka-Ojou-sama was in Japan and Setsuna was here in the States doing God-only-knows-what to a different girl.

Well THAT woke Ami up. Enough so that she attempted to it up, flailed with the covers and ended up on the floor. She had no idea where she was and the surroundings were unfamiliar. Bits of Last night's dream came to the forefront of her mind and she looked around in a panic.

Setsuna tried to make herself not feel bad about Ami falling off the bed, but that was impossible. She drew in a light breath. There was an explaination for this, there had to be. She sat up, moving to sit on the edge of the bed and offered her hand to Ami to help her up and have her sit next to her.

//"You were really unaware until now that you're in my room?"// she asked. Was it Ami, then, that came in last night, not Ranma? Why?

Ami took the offered hand and sat down next to her friend.

Blushing slightly, Setsuna looked down. Ami wasn't the one who's first reaction to someone else falling off the bed wasn't Ha, you deserved that, so if anyone was a horrible person in this situation, it was her.

But Ami had called her Secchan. No one was allowed to say that, sleepy and confused or not.

She rubbed her temples, trying to figure out what happened.

Setsuna frowned as she looked down at her hands in her lap. The range of emotions and reactions going through her at that moment were jolting and confusing. Anger still for Ami's slight in decorum in calling her Secchan. Confusion over what she was doing there. Disappointment that it really wasn't something Ami had done intentionally.

She looked up at Setsuna, a bit pleadingly //"Do you hate me Setsuna-chan?"//

Setsuna quirked an eyebrow at Ami, frowning. //"Why would I hate you?"// she asked. Irritated with you, yes, but half of that wasn't something Ami couldn't even control. It wasn't Ami's fault that Setsuna wanted something more than what was starting to sound like a drug-induced episode of sleepwalking.

...At least it was drug-induced and just sleepwalking, probably, Setsuna figured, and it hadn't been like that one time with Konoka, and Ami-chan was clothed...

...yeah, definately a blush starting to spread over Setsuna's cheeks. Why was she even thinking about that right now?

Ack! Was she...crying? Setsuna flailed slightly; she didn't know how to deal with crying! //"Uh, I..Um..Am..Ami-chan, it's okay! It's okay! You said you don't remember what happened, you were probably sleepwalking, it's okay!"// Should she...hug her, or something? Or would that be too inappropriate after what had happened? Accck! //"Oh, God, Ami-chan, please don't cry! It was all just a mistake, it's okay, you couldn't help it!"//

Ami of course could not stop crying now that she had started. //"I am so so sorry... I am a bad person... You totally have every right to hate me... I... I shoudl go..."//

She got up to leave, wiping her eyes in a futile attempt to stop the tears.

Setsuna frowned deeply, almost as if injured, to see Ami's expression. //"Don't leave. Not like this, not so upset. I'm not mad at you, at all, I promise. I mean, if anything, I'm glad. If this was a sleepwalking thing, you could have ended up in a lot of places much worse, so I'm just glad you ended up being safe...Don't...don't be upset, please?"//

Ami wiped her face with her PJ sleeve and sighed. //"I am sorry. For... everything. I think i may have subconsciously gone where i felt safe and protected."// It was kind of at this point that Ami mentally reeled at the fact that she had not gone to Billy.

Ami covered her face with her hands and took a deep breath. //"I am really really sorry Setsuna. I will understand if you do not want to ever talk to me. This was an unforgivably improper thing for me to do."//

...If unconsciously coming to Setsuna's bedroom out of the need for safety and protection was an unforgivably improper thing to do, where did that put the sorts of ideas Setsuna was having about the whole thing?

How long had her denial about Konoka been effectively diverted? Yeah. Setsuna could definately handle pretending that nothing had changed between her and Ami. She was experienced in this sort of thing.

Yes. A sleepover. A completely innocent sleepover with absolutely no sexual or lesbian undertones whatsoever. Because Setsuna wasn't going to allow herself to think that way about Ami (too late), because the only girl she should be thinking that about is Konoka-Ojou-sama and not even then because the only person she should be thinking anything like that about is Ranma, her boyfriend, who was a boy (sometimes), and that was how it was supposed to be.

Setsuna nodded. //"I...should probably get ready for class."//
