It was chilly and damp out, but after opening her closet door only to be attacked by an avalanche of cookies (for which she might have blamed her roommate and her strange closet activities, except that opening the door to the hallway had the same sugary effect), Raven decided that the only proper response to this was to get tea to go with the cookies. Pomegranate Vanilla would go nicely with the cookies, and since since she was out of her own supply, she had gone down to the Perk for a cup. Now she walked back toward the school, sipping the hot tea and nibbling at a cookie, cloak drawn tightly around her shoulders. She was definitely going to have to get warmer clothing for the winter. Like, say, gloves.

It may have been cold outside, but there was a thaw happening inside as the kitchen staff finally realized a) that lion kid was coming back every week and 2) he wouldn't eat them, as long as they kept him well fed.

"You guys are the best!" said Lion-o, finding yet another plate of cookies waiting for him. The kitchen staff wasn't the one making cookies, but they were more than happy to take the credit.

Fred chuckled, standing in the middle of a wrestling ring wearing referee's stripes. Today's class was meeting in the danger shop, and he was taking full advantage.

"Pro Wrestling. Depending on your universe, it's either a sport where two people beat the ever loving crap out of each other, or it's a staged athletic show where... two people beat the ever loving crap out of each other. It's a decent career choice, if you don't mind putting your body on the line for a screaming crowd of fans with little job benefits. But sometimes, the paycheck makes up for that."

Fred pointed to one corner of the ring, where stood three shop-generated wrestlers for his exercise today.

"You can either wrestle one of them, or one of your classmates. The rules are no holds barred, but using the ring ropes for leverage on a hold is illegal. Your opponent touches the rope during a submission hold or a pin, the hold or pin is broken. You're going for a three count pin or submission victory. And if you find something under the ring to hit your opponent with... go for it."

He chuckled.

"Now, ladies and gentlemen of my class... Let's get ready to rumble!"

Cookies were all well and good, but they went much better with some sort of warm drink - say perhaps hot chocolate.

Millie made her way to The Perk for just that purpose, snagging a large one - with whipped cream, of course - and settled in at a table by the window to enjoy it with the cookies while she watched the passersby.

Helen was tired of being in her room so she made her way down to the common room. She flipped on the TV and watched with some dismay and confusion part of a show where people were yelling and threatening and weeping about the paternity of their children. While it was a bit fascinating in the way that some sort of natural diaster was, she couldn't stand to watch it for long. She did finally find a marathon of a cooking competition show and decided that would be a better choice for her.

And, while she was watching about cooking, why not do some of her own and make an early lunch. Maybe something warm and comforting like that lasagna thing she'd tried once. Yes, that sounded good, so she started pulling out ingredients and got to work.

Katchoo hadn't ventured out of her room in close to a week now, although it felt like a lot longer than that. She was sugary and cinnamony already by the time she was fiddling with her key in the lock of the store's front door --

And a lot more so once the latest tidal wave of door-related cookies had abated, leaving her knee-deep in colored sugar, icing, and ginger snaps, with the faint tinkling sound of the entry bell wafting away over it all.

Katchoo sighed, slogged her way into the shop, and slouched behind the counter with her headphones in and some new music she'd acquired blaring. Yes. It was something not Griffin Silver. Be shocked.
